Alexandra Shadle — Founder & President of International Dance Arts Collective Alexandra Shadle is the visionary behind the International Dance Arts Collective (IDAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2021 with a mission to promote cultural understanding and peace through dance and music. Driven by her own background in dance, Alexandra founded IDAC to empower youth with the opportunity to explore global cultures through their rich artistic traditions. She believes that engaging with diverse arts forms fosters appreciation, respect, and ultimately, a peaceful world. IDAC is registered as a 501(c)(3) and stands out for its mission to preserve cultural dance and music through educational experiences and community service. Since 2021, IDAC educators have brought cultural dance workshops to over 1,000 students across schools in Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, and Sacramento. These include interactive school programs, multicultural presentations, and guest artist collaborations. The collective runs engaging events such as the annual Festival of Light and Family Dance, plus performances at more than 55 community events and cultural festivals. IDAC orchestrates cultural exchange tours—recent destinations include Guatemala (2023), New York City (2024), and upcoming participation in an international folkloric festival in Romania. These tours aim to cultivate intercultural understanding among youth dancers. The organization champions inclusivity by offering need-based scholarships, ensuring that financial barriers don’t hinder passionate students from joining the learning journey. As President of IDAC, Alexandra leads both the strategic vision and operational impact of the organization.
