USA Youth Newsletter - June 2026

For the first time in over 5 years, CIOFF USA Youth was able to have an in person event and workshop! We were amazed to see the youth show up and spend the day dancing, learning the history of folk dance, and getting to know the other members of CIOFF.

Jeff Driggs

We were so grateful for our featured performer and teacher. Jeff Driggs is a phenomenal clogger, and was able to teach all different levels of traditional clogging to our CIOFF USA youth members. Jeff is from the East Coast, has been clogging since he himself was a youth, and has taught workshops and had competitions in every single one of the 50 states.

Piero Gongora

We were blessed to have another special guest performer and teacher, Piero Gongora, who taught us amazing and intricate dances from Peru. The youth learned the history and meaning of these dances, as well as learning the history of multiple musical instruments, including the Cajon.

Finally, we were able to collaborate with Brigham Young University, and attend their show, The Festival of Nations. They do an amazing job at showcasing so many different countries' culture and traditions, and involoving the youth in remembering these traditions.
