Committed to preserving Venezuelan culture, it continues to bring the vibrant rhythms of the drum to audiences worldwide.

Director Bio

Jose Andrade

My name is José Andrade, born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. "I emigrated to the United States in 1999, seeking new opportunities and professional growth. In Venezuela, I studied tourism, and later in the U.S., I earned a degree in business administration. My dream was to open a travel agency, but legal challenges led me to work wherever I could, from washing cars to valet parking." "Back then, few Venezuelans had emigrated, but we formed a group where dance and music kept our traditions alive. In 2013, four families came together to turn that passion into something bigger, and @venezueladanzaytambor was born.” "Today, I direct the academy with locations in Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Katy, New York, Madrid, and Valencia, and we continue to grow. We teach Venezuelan folklore to people of all backgrounds, preserving and sharing our culture worldwide.” "Our mission is to expand Venezuelan traditions and leave a cultural legacy wherever we go. Many of us dream of returning home one day, but until then, we carry Venezuela in our hearts.” "Believe in your dreams, work hard, and never give up. Nothing is impossible when you truly want it.” I am deeply grateful to the United States for the opportunities, growth, and learning it has given me. Thanks to this country, I can share my passion and keep building dreams.
